STUDENTS WITH DISABILITIES

Students with disabilities (both visible and invisible) deserve to equally participate in Campus Activities, including those events run by DCUSU. We are committed to ensuring accessibility for all students in the running of our events and campaigns. 

Each image released online by DCUSU is provided with alt text to allow for screen readers to engage with the content. An audio version of all DCUSU emails is provided each time we contact students in our newsletter. All DCUSU video content is captioned.

Society Accessibility Policy

DCUSU VP for Diversity & Inclusion is currently working on an accessibility policy for all societies in DCU. This is to ensure accessible principles are embedded into the everyday work of societies. This is being done in collaboration with the Society Life Committee and students with disabilities.
