Finance for Full-Time Students:

The following options are available to students in full-time education:

  1. Grant from your local council. See www.studentfinance.ie for more details or contact your local county council or VEC.
  2. Student Assistance Fund which is available when you register and are attending class. The 2009/2010 will be open on October 1st. Please go to www.dcu.ie/students/finance/assistance_fund.shtml for more information and application form.
  3. Millennium Partnership Fund (only available in certain areas)
  4. St. Vincent de Paul Education Fund

Finance for Part-Time Students:

The options available to students studying part-time are as follows:

Finance for the Recently Unemployed:

  1. HEA Labour Market Activisation Programme - DCU is currently offering undergraduate and postgraduate study options under the HEA’s Labour Market Activisation Initiative. This unique programme gives you the opportunity to study for your undergraduate or postgraduate degree with DCU, while receiving significant fee support.   2. Back to Education Allowance – This allows those who are unemployed for 6 months or more to return to full-time education. For more information, contact your local social welfare office or go to www.welfare.ie
