The Disability Steering Group consists of stakeholders from all areas of Dublin City University who meet four times a year to:
- Promote the disability agenda in DCU
- To raise awareness & widen the accessibility agenda for all members of the DCU community
- To review current policies and procedures relating to disability
- To draft new policies and procedures relating to disability
- To develop standards to make DCU a model of best practice in accessibility and inclusion
- To identify champions within DCU who will drive the accessibility agenda
- To meet quarterly as a group
- To liaise with the Equality Steering Group on the work of the Disability Steering Group
- To liaise with Executive on an annual basis on the progress of disability issues in DCU
