Hourly Rate €13.60 (inc 15% Shift)
Aer Lingus is currently inviting applications for the following:
Cabin Appearance Team Members (TMA)
Baggage Operations Team Members (TMA)
Both roles are based in the Ground Operations Department at Dublin Airport.
Both areas work a wide range of shift duties over 24 hours, 7 days a week.
These positions will be fixed term, part-time roles (30 hours) and will be required for the Spring/Summer Season 2018.
Baggage Hall Team Members
The efficiency of baggage delivery can have a big impact on whether an aircraft can push back on time. Our Baggage Operation Team Members know how important it is to work quickly to ensure baggage is loaded and unloaded in sufficient time to keep flights on schedule.
The job is a physical one, (you could be lifting bags of up to 32kg weight for a good part of your shift). It also involves working as part of a team to meet strict deadlines. Every bag needs to be scanned so that it can be retrieved quickly if, for example, the bag's owner does not board the aircraft. In this role you will need to be conscientious and quick to ensure you play your part in the on time departure of our flights. You are also required to adhere to strict health, safety and security standards.
Cabin Appearance Team Members
We want our guests to experience a high standard of cleanliness every time they fly. Our Cabin Appearance team work quickly and diligently to ensure that this standard is delivered on a consistent basis.
The work is physically demanding and involves working, as part of a team, to clean and dress aircraft cabins, galleys and toilets to tight deadlines whilst adhering to strict health, safety and security standards
Essential Criteria for both roles
Be at least 18 years of age on 1st January 2018
Pass a 5-year security background check and Garda Vetting process
Provide 3 verifiable references
Eligible to live and work in the E.U.
Current unrestricted worldwide passport
Hold a full clean driving licence
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Willing to work a range of shift duties in a 24 hour, 7 day a week operation
Be physically fit and able to pass a medical assessment
Prepared to adhere to our grooming & uniform standards
Able to demonstrate the key competencies outlined below
Desirable Criteria for both roles:
Manual Handling Certificate
Previous Ground Operations experience
Industrial cleaning experience (for Cabin Appearance roles)
Key Competencies for both roles:
Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude to change
Proven capability of using own initiative and working aspart of a team
Good communication skills – both written and verbal
Highly motivated with the ability to work to tight deadlines while producing high quality work
Awareness of the Health & Safety and Security requirements of the role
