DCU Careers Service is one of a number of services, which comprise the Student Support & Development Unit. Our mission is to enable students and recent graduates to proactively manage their careers (set realistic goals, make informed career decisions and develop the skills necessary to accomplish their goals) by offering a range of professional services including careers information, education, advice and guidance. We facilitate employers and their Graduate Recruitment activity in DCU, engage collaboratively with academic colleagues to foster careers education and development within the curriculum and work with students and recent alumni in a wide variety of ways to ensure a smooth transition from university to the world of work or further study. We place particular emphasis on the use of web mediated technology and Virtual Learning Environments to deliver our services to a wide range of students, recent graduates, alumni, academic staff and other users of the service.
