What is a Faculty Convenor?
A Faculty convenor represents their Faculty on any issues that may arise. The convenor is a source of communication between the individual classes; class Reps and the Faculty or school. They also represent the views of students within their Faculty at union council and union Executive.
While the Education Officer is responsible for the class rep system as a whole, the convenor should try to coordinate activities and act as a point of contact within his/her faculty, so you can feel free to get in contact with your convenor if you need any support or advice. Remember, if you feel a little out of your depth with any situation or if an issue can’t be resolved with the effort of your fellow class reps, you should immediately refer to your convenor.
What do the Clubs and Societies officers do?
The clubs and societies officers are responsible for liaising between the bodies that govern clubs and societies (club life committee, society life committee respectively) and the union in an effort to coordinate activity.
